BLACK PAIN It Just Looks Like We're Not Hurting Terrie MWilliams
Black Pain identifies emotional pain -- which uniquely and profoundly affects the Black experience -- as the root of lashing out through desperate acts of crime, violence, drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, workaholism, and addiction to shopping, gambling, and sex. Few realize these destructive acts are symptoms of our inner sorrow.
In Black Pain, Terrie has inspired the famous and the ordinary to speak out and mental health professionals to offer solutions. The book is a mirror turned on you. Do you see yourself and your loved ones here? Do the descriptions of how the pain looks, feels, and sounds seem far too familiar? Now you can do something about it.
Knowledge Book Club meets Sunday July 27th at 2:00pm, we will be discussing the book Black Pain: it Just Looks Like We're Not Hurting by Terrie Williams. Please feel free to come and participate or just listen.

In our continued effort to awaken the minds of our people, Knowledge Bookstore seeks to demystify the 'scriptures' through an ongoing in-depth look into the 'King James Version' of the Bible. This will be accomplished using the aid of prolific writers and Scholars such as Dr Ben, Gerald Massey, Dr Muata Ashby, Walter McCray, John G. Jackson, Ishakamusa Barashango, J.A Rogers, Diop, Nana Darkwah and many others. In his controversial work The Africans Who Wrote The Bible, Nana Darkwah proves biblically, historically and scientifically that originally it was Africans who wrote the Bible. Darkwah states, that Black people of the Bible were not Jews and were not Hebrews. They originated from the Black tribes that were the Ancient Egyptians. Knowledge Bookstore invites you to be part of our (study/discussion) on Sunday June 1st from 11am to 1pm at The Liberation Lounge inside Knowledge Bookstore and continuing every other Sunday, for a small fee of $5.00 per session.
