This African Image Revolution, which summarizes the mission of MACPRI, Mother Africa's Children Photographic Reproductions International, has become an Africa worldwide movement. The African Image Revolution seeks to stimulate, through the use of positive visual propaganda, 'radical change, revolutionary change, in the way we see and organize ourselves as a people and the way we are seen by others.' Through the eyes and images of documentary photo-historian Oji Adisa.
MACPRI documentary photography projects are privately funded. MACPRI African Marketplace, the All African Dance Party and the Peoples Of West Africa photo exhibits are all very significant annual MACPRI fundraisers supported by the Toronto community.
MACPRI has also started a number of local and international initiatives, namely: MACPRI African Imports (Canada), Mwalimu ATI Family Culture Renewal Center (Jamaica) and Sankofa Kingdom Tours (Ghana).
