Knowledge Bookstore is an independent Black-owned bookstore located in Brampton, Ontario. We specialize in books by and about people of African, Caribbean, African Canadian, and African American descent, including a wide selection of children, history, cultural, and religious titles. More than just a bookstore, we are a vibrant community hub—a welcoming space for readers, writers, artists, and families. In addition to books, we offer Black dolls, greeting cards, puzzles, games, beauty products, and unique gifts not found in mainstream stores. At Knowledge Bookstore, we believe in celebrating our stories, preserving our history, and inspiring future generations through the power of reading.

  • Monday to Saturday 10:00am - 5:00pm
  • Sunday 12:00pm - 5:00pm

Directions:

  • 401 or 407 West to 410 Brampton (North)
  • Exit Queen Street going West (left turn) continue on Queen Street.
  • Please note that when you turn onto Queen St from the 410 that you are on Queen St East and it does not turn West until after you cross over Queen and Main (also know as the four corners)
  • After Main street, the next lights is George St, then Mill St.  After Mill St, cross over the train tracks, Knowledge Bookstore is the fourth house on the south (left) side.
